2003 Mind’s Eye

Artist for Mind’s Eye, creating arts projects across Berkshire.

2001-2 St Mary’s Hospital NHS Trust, Ryde Regeneration Project.

Working with communities on environmental projects across hospital sites and for Ryde Regeneration Project. Designed the Sea Garden with coloured glass and mirror cube pavilion reflecting sea-fossils following the 2001 Atkins Drew SRB consultation for Ryde Sea-front Regeneration and with input from local community groups, including mental health clients and special needs schools and clients.

2001 St Mary’s Hospital, Isle of Wight
Recently completed a landscape design for Sevenacres, mental health unit at St Mary’s Hospital, Isle of Wight, the Sylvacure Garden
planted with medicinal plants and trees, including a mass bulb planting and avenues of trees. This forms the initial phase of a Himalayan Garden, to be twinned with the Isle of Wight.

2000 Ten Acre Trust, Oxfordshire
The Moss Pavilion; a Chinese-inspired structure using expanded images of moss-cells in the forest, a nature conservation site belonging to Miriam Rothschild. Ran the Education Programme for the Ten Acre Trust, Oxfordshire.

2000 Millenium Project
Shortlisted by the Wellcome Trust for a physic garden the Pharmikon at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, linked to Madagascar, involving plants used in the treatment of cancer.

1994 Digital Landscapes, Scotland
Part of Fotofeis, Scotland, images of “wild” nature and the Clearances, shown simultaneously in Sky and in downtown Edmonton, Canada. Sponsored by Canon.

1992 De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill-on-Sea
Cataract : Artist’s Residency in collaboration with Susie French, architect with Lister Atkins Drew, resulting in a major installation using text and fossil images and ‘turning the building inside-out’ to make an opaque “eye” that drew attention to environmental concerns. Education projects for schools who devised new uses for the modernist sun-pavilion.
